Cameo Challenge

Moxie Fab World does it again!  Another exciting challenge is taking place at MFW...and it's all about cameos.  Cameos of all sorts, shapes and sizes are making headlines in the crafting world these days.  Go over to the MFW Cameo Challenge and take a look at the beautiful cards fellow crafters have made.  Here's mine along with a few other pretty cameos.  I started out using just black, tan and white, but I decided a pop of color would be good...I really like it!

Divine Twine...Oh My!

I was doing a bit of surfing here and discovered Whisker Graphics and the Divine Twine sold on the site.  There are some YUMMY colors and a roll of 240 yeards sells for only $15!  Go have a look and see all the colors currently offered.  Here's a photo of a clever way to store a roll of Divine Twine, and a deliciously cute little twine cupcake made from a styrofoam ball and wooden "cherry".

Color Inspiration Challenge: Neutrals

I had a lot of fun making this card for the Neutrals Color Inspiration Challenge over at Moxie Fab World.  I enjoy mixing ribbons, buttons, punched borders and various paper types.  I keep trying to "find" my style, but I have a style, it's just not defined by any particular style.  Make sense?  Likely not to you, but to me it's HUGE to know I have found that I belong right where I am, and this card depicts ME and who I am...a little bit of everything :)

This is the last of the Color Inspiration Challenges... so the next post will be something new!  I hope you have enjoyed looking at how the various color schemes inspired me.

Color Inspiration Challenge: Monochromatics

You may not believe it, but I sat down Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon and made all 6 Color Inspiration challenge cards to take part in the challenges over at Moxie Fab World.  This challenge, Monochromatics, was one of the more difficult for me to do because I like to use a blend of colors.  Here's my end result: (the sentiment is difficult to read in the photo, but really stands out in real life, I also think my camera batteries are dying because there's a wierd shadow down the middle of the card)

Color Inspiration Challenge: Metallics

I'm not much of a metallic paper user, so when Moxie Fab World posted the Metallics challenge during Color Inspiration Week, it was a difficult task for me to accomplish.  But with some online inspiration and the color inspiration, I found myself playing with my metallic paper and actually having fun doing it!

Color Inspiration Challenge: Jewel Tones

Here's yet another color inspiration challenge from Moxie Fab World.  This go around, the challenge is Jewel Tones.  So, I have to say that my husband actually inspired me along with the colors on this challenge.  He had this idea about the faces and lining them up similar to Warhol's Marilyn Monroe art.  Not quite the same effect, but you get the idea.

Color Inspiration Challenge: Pretty Pastels

And so it continues with the Pretty Pastels challenge over at Moxie Fab World.  I had this great sparkly "Laugh" 3D sticker and found it to be quite fitting for this color challenge.

Moxie Fab's "Gray is the New Black" Challenge

Moxie Fab World is hosting another challenge that sparked my interest: Gray is the New Black.  Hop on over there and see all the great creations people have made.  I just got these new fashion doll paper doll dies and I absolutely love them!  Moxie Fab's post has photos of some great gray-themed items, and when I saw the classy outfit on a gal in one of the photos, the paper doll dies immediately came to mind.  I chose some luscious pearlized paper in a gray/blue swirl pattern and in silver for this little lady's outfit.  I added some blue pearl buttons to top it all off.  I thought this would be a great card to give to a special friend.
