Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge

Papertrey Ink is hosting a blog hop where participants use their creativity to make a card using book cover art as inspiration.  I've seen a few of the projects already and they are just awesome!  Who would of thought book covers would be such a great inspiration?  Anyway, the first photo below is the inspiration cover I found and the second photo is my card.  The photo of my card does not do it justice.  The ornaments are cut from pearlized cardstock so they shimmer nicely.

Minty Fresh Final Call

I decided one more should do it for the Minty Fresh Challenge at Moxie Fab World, and here it is.  This card also gather its inspiration from the lovely kitchen pictured below in the previous post.  I would die for this kitchen!  My creative space is almost the same color (a hint more blue) with white beadboard along the walls.

Moxie Fab World Minty Fresh #2

As promised, here's another entry for the Moxie Fab World Minty Fresh challenge.  For this card, I looked at that lovely minty kitchen inspiration photo and saw the old-fashioned milkshake machine on the counter along with some of the other items from days past, then I found my inspiration.  I used some of the new My Mind's Eye pretty papers from The Sweetest Thing collection.  They coordinated so nicely with my Basic Grey stamp set.

Inspiration Photo: LOVE this kitchen!

Moxie Fab World Minty Fresh Challenge

Phew...it sure has been a long time since I've been able to post on my blog.  I've been so busy with work, summer fun, and family that blogging took the high road for a bit.  But now fall is almost in the air and it's time to settle down and start doing some challenges again.

For this challenge, the Minty Fresh Challenge at Moxie Fab World, I made a couple cards that I will showcase in separate blog posts.  In this card, I used several prints of minty-hued pretty papers.  I replicated the circle from the lovely China plate along with floral print on the plate and from the pretty pattern pictured below the plate.

...and here's a few minty fresh inspiration photos:

Moxie Fab World's Doily and Lace Challenge for Card Creation Week

Moxie Fab World's Doily and Lace Challenge inspired me to make this summertime lemonade card.  I love how well the black, yellow and white go together.

More Gingham...

Here's yet another gingham card.  This one reminds me of Mary Engelbreit artwork.

More Cards for the Gingham Challenge

Here's the second card I made.  This one is not my favorite, but still turned out nice (I think, anyway).

Moxie Fab World's Card Creation Week: The Gingham Challenge

The Gingham Challenge over at Moxie Fab World seemed to stir up a little excitement for me, so I made a couple of cards.  I love how gingham and florals look together. Here's the first card I made using some summer fun strawberry print paper and yellow gingham.  I like how the yellow and red pop together.

Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary Continues

This month PTI is celebrating its 5th anniversary, and the release this month looks to be pretty AWESOME! The challenge for today is to make a card using some sort of interactive feature, so I chose this card I made for my daughter who just got her driver's permit.  I made the car and peace signs from Shrinky Dinks and strung them together with jump rings.  The chain of items swings freely on the card and can be removed and put on a keychain.

Another Card for Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary

Here I go with more PTI inspiration!  I got some inspiration from Betsy Veldman back when she made the card noted below.  My version is Valentine's Day themed, but I wanted to try mixing sentiments to see what I could come up with.

Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary

It seems like it's been so long since I've posted on here and I do apologize.  Life just gets in the way sometimes and you have to make some sacrifices.  Now, on to PTI's 5th Anniversary...I love this time of year when PTI celebrates their anniversary.  There's always wonderful goodies that are given away and beautiful projects to inspire people with.  Speaking of inspiration, today's celebration activities include making a project inspired by one of the members of the PTI design team.  Design team members shared their top 5 products from PTI.  I really liked this project that Maile Bells made, so I adapted the design slightly for Valentine's Day.
