Sunday

Whew, the weekend sure went by quick! I did a lot of card making and getting cards ready for magazine submission (okay, hopefully they'll pick one of mine that I send in). Here's my latest StampTV challenge card. Other than that, not much else to post about this evening.

Saturday

I Learned Something New!

Okay, so I know I already posted once today, but I am so excited that I learned some new blogging tips today and I had to share. I learned how to link URLs to a word like HERE (click on it) where I linked my blog to the word HERE. AND...I learned how to edit the background for my blog. I found this cutey on Deb's Craft Blog. There's some other adorable backgrounds there along with directions on how to change them. I will continue to update as I learn more. Had I known this was so much fun, I would've started blogging a long time ago!

Also, HERE is a link to my page on PaperCraftPlanet and HERE is a link to StampTV where I am also a member.

And finally for the evening, Here is a "Groovy" card I made for a challenge.

200+ Cuttlebug Ideas

Here's a link to 200+ CUTTLEBUG Ideas on Mel Stampz website. There are some GREAT ideas there, check it out! Here's the link to Mel Stampz home page. She has some wonderful cards posted there along with great ideas. Here's a couple of cards I made using one of the ideas of using aluminum foil glued to cardstock, then put through a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

The Pixie Cottage Design Team Call

The Pixie Cottage has some VERY cute stamps and they are a new stamp company just starting out. I am hoping to be chosen to be on their first ever Design Team. Although I am not new to stamping and papercrafts, I am fairly new to blogging. Here is a link to The Pixie Cottage so you can have a look for yourself http://www.thepixiecottage.blogspot.com/.

As part of the Design Team Call requirements, I am posting 3 cards I have made recently:

Monday

WOW! What a weekend! I was so busy, I forgot to post on here. Anyway, I spent some time in my craft room making some cards for World Card Making Day. I will be sending in 10 cards to Paper Crafts magazine for their annual card making contest. 20 prizes will be given away, each valued at over $185. Just what I need is more craft supplies, but I'm sure I will find some use for them.

Here are a few of the creations I made over the weekend:

Thursday

Tonight I had to teach a 1st Aid/CPR class, so I didn't get a chance to practice my creativity. Luckily, today is my Friday and I have all day home tomorrow to work on my cards. The Twilight card is coming along well and I have a new sketch challenge to try. Today I thought long and hard about who I can give cards to so that they might be able to use them to give others. I'm considering sending them to military members because my husband is retired Army, but I also like the idea of giving some out to women's shelters and maybe inspire them a bit. Hmmm....I'll have to ponder longer. Anyway, it's late and I'm tired, so I'm headed to bed.

Wednesday

Tonight I am working on a card for a Twilight challenge. I had my Twilight-addicted 14 year old daughter help me out, and I think it's pretty good! The batteries are dead in the camera, so I will post a photo of it tomorrow after the batteries recharge. Here's the quote I found to use on the card:

Twilight drops her curtain down,
and pins it with a star.

Watch for new information coming this weekend!

Good day all. I have yet to do any stamping this evening, but I will be headed to my craft room after blogging to make a crafty creation with some new stamps and supplies I purchased today. I am in process of setting up a slide show (which can be seen at the bottom of my blog page) of my most recent card creations.

This weekend, watch for tips and tricks to be added to my blog. Some tricks include: fun things to do with your Cuttlebug folders; card layout ideas; color schemes for fall; and much more.

Monday

Ready to Blog!

So, I've never even tried blogging before, but thought it was about time to get on board. I'm hoping my blogs can help others stir their creativity and spark some excitement as well. I am going to try to include tips, tricks and other fun things having to do with rubber stamping and card making.

Today I made a fun card for one of the challenges I regularly participate in on StampTV. The card was made for a color challenge where the host of the challenge picks a color scheme for participants to make their cards with. The color scheme for this week is green/black/white.

Now I'm off to bed so I can rise bright and early in the a.m. for another day at work and another evening of stamping fun! Good night :)
